This workshop is designed to help entrepreneurs discover their target market and ideal customer, and how to be better aligned with that customer than anybody else in the market. Sheri Sklar and Janine Buis will help entrepreneurs to understand the skills and toolkit they need to develop relationships with their target customers. These include: personas, the art of customer interviews, and defining a powerful value proposition and messaging.

Seasoned technology executives, Sherri and Janine bring more than 40 years combined experience to help companies navigate their growth challenges and instill a winning, unified and customer-centric culture.
Sherri has delivered transformative growth results for organizations, including IBM, CA, SunGard, CTG, and many startups including her own companies. Her expertise in corporate strategy, all aspects of revenue generation, leadership, maximizing organizational results—coupled with her visionary techniques to monetize innovation—fuels companies’ profitable revenue growth. She has helped companies achieve triple-digit growth, orchestrated liquidity exits, taken companies out of obscurity to market leadership, helped companies get “Product of the Year” status, taught companies how to expand deal size, shortened sales cycles, build a robust pipeline, and convert many stalled opportunities into multimillion dollar closed deals. Sherri received a BA from Tulane University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Janine has worked with technology startups and global corporations building expertise in marketing, strategy, people and operations. She has built global teams, implemented performance management solutions, increased employee engagement, and driven organizational transformation and cultural change. She has led M&A integration programs and helped product teams identify and deliver new sources of value for customers. She has launched disruptive technology solutions including mobile satellite services and Voice Over IP solutions. Janine started her career in consulting roles at Accenture and Deloitte where she partnered with clients to optimize operational execution. She is a Global Professional in Human Resources, a Certified Management Consultant and Certified Management Accountant. She is a graduate of the Richard Ivey Business School at the University of Western Ontario.
